 PROPOSED REPAYMENT OF DEBT BY BIG THREE INDUSTRIES CORPORATION
 (DELAWARE)
 HOUSTON, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Big Three Industries Corporation (Delaware) announced today that during the first quarter of 1993, it intends to pay, subject to availability of funds, some or all of the debt outstanding under (i) the convertible subordinated debentures indenture dated April 15, 1981, with Texas Commerce Bank National Association; (ii) the sinking fund debentures indenture dated Oct. 1, 1979, with Morgan Guaranty Trust Company of New York; and/or (iii) the sinking fund debentures indenture dated April 1, 1976, with Texas Commerce Bank National Association.
 Big Three Industries is an indirect, 97 percent-owned subsidiary of L'Aire Liquide (France) with diversified operations and more than $1 billion in total assets. The 72-year-old firm is engaged in the production and sale of industrial gases, welding equipment and supplies, and in providing service and specialty equipment to the oilfield industry.
