PROPOSED ACQUISITION WITHDRAWN BY SELLER

 CLEVELAND, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Acme-Cleveland Corporation (NYSE: AMT) today reported that its intended acquisition of the Test Systems Division of Reliance Comm/Tec Corporation (Comm/Tec), a subsidiary of Reliance Electric Company (NYSE: REE), will not be completed as a result of Reliance's decision to withdraw the Test Systems Division from sale.
 Acme-Cleveland Corporation manufactures and sells telecommunications products, sensor devices and controls, cutting tools, multi-spindle machine tools, quality assurance products and systems, and related parts and services.
