Progressive Fillers has developed new conductive silver products for silicon and conductive film applications.

The conductive silver spheres (CSS-20) at 20 microns and the conductive silver Micaclad (CSM-20) at 50 and 20 microns are said to be successful in EMI shielding and conductive flooring where micro applications are needed. Because the mica is a plated flat mineral, it disperses well in thin applications, and its limited surface area requires less silver plating. Micaclad non-f.c. (non-food-contact grade) is a colored mica reported to be very stable in any application and to offer brightness and vibrancy.

The company is now the U.S. distributor for the Dekorflake line of products from Microfine Minerals Ltd. (q.v.) of the U.K. Dekorflake products are natural micas that have been treated to give metallic silver and gold finishes, along with bronze and black. They are stable in most environmental conditions, can withstand temperatures up to 1000[degrees]C, and are compliant with FDA food-contact regulations.
