PROFOUND ONLINE SERVICE SIGNS RESEARCH AGREEMENT WITH PACKAGED GOODS DATA PROVIDER

NEW YORK, March 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Profound, Inc. today announced it has reached an agreement with Marketing Intelligence Service Ltd. to provide online research reports on significant and innovative new consumer packaged goods through Profound, the world's most comprehensive business intelligence service. Under the agreement, Profound will offer exclusive, Portable Document Format (PDF) access to this data through integration of Adobe System(TM) Acrobat(TM) technology into the user interface. This will exactly replicate in electronic form the look of the printed research on food, beverage, health and beauty aid, household, pet supply and miscellaneous consumer product introductions.

Using Profound's proprietary InfoSort(TM) technology, market and product research available from Marketing Intelligence will be indexed for the most efficient retrieval in the online business information market. Users of Profound will be able to employ both key words and search terms added by Profound research editors, who read and index each document before adding it to the service. Since the indexing information delivered by InfoSort is so highly specific, users can save time and money by locating and retrieving precisely and only the data they need.

Through Profound, users will have online access to Marketing Intelligence's "Lookout," a twice monthly review of the most innovative and influential new products in the U.S. According to Marketing Intelligence, many of the subject products are obtained directly from test markets, and each product is reviewed in the context of its marketer's history, product line and current market trends.
