Bancorp Inc. (AMEX: MDB), through its wholly owned subsidiary First Professional Bank,N.A., which provides banking services to the medical community announced that on Jan. 2, 1992 it restructured the majority of its investment portfolio so as to: a) anticipate the borrowing needs of its clientele and b) reduce its exposure to interest rate volatility.
 The restructure, which involves approximately $58 million in government securities reduces the maturity of its portfolio from six years two months to approximately four years ten months.
 The sale of the securities resulted in the bank's recording a gain of $1.910 million, the difference between its cost and current market at the date of the sale.
 Professional Bancorp also announced it anticipates it would release its unaudited results for 1991 by Jan. 14, 1992.
