 PRODUCT LIABILITY FAIRNESS CONSIDERED ON SENATE FLOOR
 WHAT: Tomorrow, the U.S. Senate will vote on product liability
 legislation as an amendment to S. 250 -- The National
 Voter Registration Act. The afternoon vote represents an
 historic step in the progress of uniform, federal product
 liability legislation to replace the current 51-state
 patchwork.
 WHO: The bill has 40 Senate co-sponsors led by Sens. Bob
 Kasten (R-Wis.), Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.), John Danforth
 (R-Mo.) and Joe Lieberman (D-Conn.).
 WHERE: Senate Chamber, The Capitol
 WHEN: Debate will occur from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May
 12, with a vote at 4 p.m.
