JOIN TV FAN CLUB OF THE FUTURE
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The personal computer is joining the remote control as an essential part of TV viewing, as some of today's hottest stars turn to their personal computers and the Prodigy service to correspond with fans.
Jerry Seinfeld, star of his own NBC hit show, will answer selected questions posed by some of the one and three quarter million members of the Prodigy service. Prodigy service members have been posting their questions since Sunday in a special "Ask Seinfeld" area in the TV Bulletin Board.
After Seinfeld, Kellie Martin, who plays teenager Becca Thatcher on ABC's Life Goes On will be online on Nov. 18 and 20. Prodigy service members can send her questions in a section titled "Ask Kellie Martin."
Next up is Mayim Bialik, star of NBC's Blossom. Fans can post questions for her starting Nov. 26.
This season, Seinfeld is a show within a show as the storyline has Jerry and his pal George selling a new sitcom to NBC. The new show is called -- you guessed it -- Seinfeld. The show airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST/PST.
Life Goes On is now dealing with the realities of HIV. Becca (Martin) is involved in a relationship with a boy (played by Chad Lowe) who is HIV positive. Life Goes On airs Sundays at 7 p.m. EST/PST.
Bialik plays Blossom Russo, a teenager with a single dad. Blossom has just run away from home with her boyfriend after a spat with her father. Blossom's emerging independence and the resulting tension with her family is a theme in this season's shows. Blossom airs Mondays at 8:30 p.m. EST/PST.
The Prodigy service enables families with personal computers to select a broad range of information, education and entertainment; to save time and money on bill paying, securities trading, travel ticketing and shopping; to exchange public notes with more than one and three quarter million other Prodigy service members; and to exchange personal messages from homes and offices.
