 PROCTER & GAMBLE ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE CHANGES
 CINCINNATI, Feb. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The Procter & Gamble Company


(NYSE: PG) today announced several officer changes.
 J. Richard Andre, 65, vice president-research and development, paper products, Procter & Gamble Worldwide, will retire on Feb. 29, 1992, after more than 42 years of service.
 Geoffrey Place, 60, vice president-research and development, health care products, Procter & Gamble Worldwide, will retire on March 12, 1992, after more than 37 years of service.
 In anticipation of these retirements, Peter Morris, 50, currently vice president-research and development, food and beverage products, has been named vice president-research and development, paper products filling Andre's position, and G. Gilbert Cloyd, 46, vice-president- pharmaceuticals, Procter & Gamble USA, has been named to the additional position of vice president-research and development, health care products, succeeding Place.
 A native of Minneapolis, Andre attended the University of Minnesota. He joined the company in 1949 as an engineer in research and development, holding positions of increasing responsibility prior to being named director, product development, coffee division in 1964, and manager-research and development in 1983. He was elected to his current position in 1985.
 Place, was born in Accrington, England, and is a graduate of Kings College, Cambridge, England. He joined P&G Limited, England in 1962 and held positions of increasing responsibility in research and development prior to being named manager, research and development coordination, international divisions in 1970, and senior director, research and development in 1974. He was elected vice president in 1977 and named to his current position in 1983.
 Morris was born in Bristol, England and graduated from Birmingham University, England. He joined P&G Limited, England in 1964 holding positions of increasing responsibility in research and development prior to being named product development director, P&G de Mexico in 1975 and manager-research and development in 1986. He was elected vice president-research and development in 1988 and named to his current position in 1991.
 Cloyd is a native of Cleveland, and a graduate of Ohio State University. He joined the company in 1974 as a veterinarian. He progressed through positions of increasing responsibility in the company's research and development organizations prior to being named associate director, professional and regulatory services department, packaged soap and detergent division in 1980. He was appointed manager, Norwich division in 1990 and to his current position in 1991.
