PROBUILD '93 EXPO ATTAINS EXCLUSIVE STATUS AS COMPETITOR BOWS OUT

NORWOOD, Mass., Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- With the recent cessation of operations by the Delaware Valley Construction and Engineering Expo, held for the past several years in the spring at the Valley Forge Convention Center, Slater Expositions has become the exclusive producer of the tri-state area's only trade show designed exclusively for contractors, architects, owners and other professional construction buying influences.
In reflecting upon Slater's continued presence since 1982, Richard A. Slater, vice president of sales, noted, "Our business philosophy is to concentrate our best efforts to serve our niche: those in the professional building and construction industry. The shows we produce in major markets throughout the U.S. are designed to meet the buying and selling needs of our exhibitors and attendees in an efficient and cost- effective way. We are continually working hard to present a highly relevant and rewarding trade show experience."
This year's PROBUILD '93 in Philadelphia on Oct. 27-28 will help celebrate the opening of the new Pennsylvania Convention Center. PROBUILD's novel concept is that it is comprised of three distinct areas of professional building interest, including THE BIG SHOW, geared toward commercial builders; REMODEX, a remodelers trade show; and AMERICAN HOMEBUILDER, a show directed toward residential contractors. All three shows are integrated into one event.
PROBUILD '93 will also introduce GREENBUILD '93, a special array of exhibits which feature today's new, environmentally friendly building products and related services. These materials and methods are a direct result of new technology spurred on by an increasingly more regulated building industry.
Among the 200 exhibitors at PROBUILD '93 are: Access Carpet, Action Door Services, A.J. Stairs, Inc., ABC, NAWIC, Belgian Block Sales, B.F.I., Classic Tile, Forge Millwork, GMC Truck Division, Marvin Windows, Mulvany Concrete Supplies, NARI, Overhead Door Co., Pella Windows, Remodeling News, Philadelphia Light, Software Plus, Tuckerton Lumber and Winderco.
