PROBE RESEARCH, INC., AND NEW NETWORKS INSTITUTE FORM JOINT VENTURE
NEW YORK, Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The New Networks Institute (NNI), founded in early 1992 to explore new directions in telecommunications, announces a joint venture with Probe Research, Inc., of Cedar Knolls, N.J., a telecommunications market research and analysis firm. Probe will market and contribute to the institute's five-part study, "10 Years Since Divestiture: The Future of the Information Age."
The first report, "Telephone Charges in America, 1980-1992," is to be jointly released in November. "While the institute will continue to conduct its own research on Divestiture II and new network services, Probe's expertise in telecommunications, particularly its technical and statistical analysis of the Regional Bell Telephone Companies (RBOCs), will complement NNI's findings," said Bruce Kushnick, president, NNI.
The five reports of "10 Years Since Divestiture," cover impacts of the divestiture of AT&T on telephone users and the telecommunications industry as well as deregulation of the RBOCs.
"The Divestiture project is complementary to other Probe studies, including 'The End of the Local Monopolies' and 'The Telephone Book.' However, the study breaks new ground and presents new statistics, arguments and solutions that have not been examined or discussed before," said Victor Schnee, president, Probe Research.
"Probe Research is excited to be working with the institute and look forward to NNI's developing into a center to explore the future of telecommunications as related to telephone and cable companies, technology suppliers, regulators and users," said Schnee.
New Networks Institute is a telecommunications research and market analysis firm based in New York. The institute sponsors research and reports, sponsors forums and conferences and provides for ongoing study and advocacy of developing new communications ideas and solutions.
