PRIMERGY 170 compact server for workgroups released by Siemens.

TELECOMWORLDWIRE-(C) 1994-9 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD Siemens Computer Systems has released its new PRIMERGY 170 compact server for workgroups. PRIMERGY 170 features system prefailure detection and analysis technology, hot-plug RAID arrays, easy change fans and redundant power supply support.

The server can be used to support client/server servers, an Internet/Intranet server, file and print servers. PRIMERGY 170 supports Microsoft Windows NT Workstation or Server version 4, Novell NetWare 3.2, 4.x, 5.x or IntranetWare, SCO UnixWare 2.1.x and 7.0.x, IBM OS/2 Warp Server 4.0 Advanced, Sun Solaris, SCO OpenServer 5.0.x and Linux 6.0. Pricing and availability were not revealed.
