PRIMEFAX CHANGES NAME TO MAXSERV

 FOR STATEWIDE TEXAS DISTRIBUTION PLEASE:
 PRIMEFAX CHANGES NAME TO MAXSERV
AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Primefax Inc., an Austin-based provider of innovative technical and customer support systems and services, has changed its corporate name to MaxServ Incorporated.
Charles R. Bayless, president and chief executive officer of MaxServ, said the company changed its name "to better describe the products and technical computer services we provide to customers in Austin and across the nation.
"While Primefax was an appropriate name when the company was founded in 1981, today's vast increased use of fax machines -- which we have nothing to do with -- has caused confusion in our market place."
MaxServ, which relocated from San Antonio to Austin in 1989, has been an innovator in the home appliance and electronics repair business since introducing a diagnostic database service in 1983. Its core business combines experienced service professionals and an extensive computer database to proviode multi-brand home appliance diagnostic, repair and parts research assistance to technicians and consumers through 1-800 and 1-900 numbers.
Based on the experience and expertise gained developing the systems required for the core business, in 1990 MaxServ entered the systems integration services market in Austin.
MaxServ is providing customers with custom software development, consulting and local/wide area network systems design, installation, maintenance and network management. These services are primarily focused on solutions requiring mutiple operating systems integration, imaging technology and "help desk" systems for larger companies.
MaxServ stock (MXSV) is traded on the Over-The-Counter market and is quoted on the National Bureau Pink Sheets.
