PRICE WATERHOUSE NAMES NEW RETAIL INDUSTRY CHAIRMAN

 NEW YORK, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Price Waterhouse announced today the appointment of Herbert J. Kleinberger to Chairman of the firm's Retail Industry Practice. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Kleinberger was the partner-in-charge of the Northeast Regional Center of Management Horizons, Price Waterhouse's retail industry consulting division, based in New York.
 In his new role as Chairman, Mr. Kleinberger, 42, will apply his extensive experience in retail operations and systems to oversee the practice's wide range of services to both U.S. and international retailers, as well as apparel manufacturers and other consumer goods companies.

 Mr. Kleinberger joined Price Waterhouse in 1984 and was admitted into the partnership in 1988. He holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton Graduate Division of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a member of the Retail Financial Executives Association, the Wharton Club of New York and the Institute for the Certification of Computer Professionals. He is also a noted author and speaker within the industry, particularly on the topic of business process improvement. Mr. Kleinberger is married, has two children and resides in Woodcliff Lake, N.J.
