 PRICE CLUB ANNOUNCES THIRD LONG ISLAND LOCATION;
 SCHEDULES FALL '92 OPENING FOR FIRST NASSAU COUNTY WAREHOUSE
 SAN DIEGO, April 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The Price Company (NASDAQ: PCLB) announced today it will open its first Nassau County warehouse in Westbury, N.Y. The Town of Hempstead approved a site plan for the development of the 400,000-square-foot Price Club Plaza at the Long Island Galleria. Building permits for Price Club are anticipated within one week, allowing construction to begin by the end of this month.
 The Price Club, along with its joint venture partner Kornwasser & Friedman, a Los Angeles-based shopping center developer, is in the final stages of purchasing the 30-acre parcel from Fortunoff, developer of the Galleria project. The 150,000-square-foot warehouse, Price Club's largest on the East Coast, will be located on Old Country Road, approximately one half mile east of Meadowbrook Parkway. Price Club awarded its contract for construction to Turner Construction Company of New York. The Price Company and Kornwasser & Friedman will develop the remaining 250,000 square feet of Price Club Plaza into a retail center including three anchor stores.
 Ted Wallace, president Price Club/East Coast, said, "The site plan approval process has been a demonstration of Alan Fortunoff's stature in and commitment to his community. The Town of Hempstead's cooperation in expediting the review process will enable us to open during the fall of this year."
 Price Club currently serves more than 7 million members and operates 78 membership warehouses in the United States and Canada (12 in Canada), including locations in Smithtown and Copiague on Long Island. In addition, the company, in a joint venture with Controladora Comercial Mexicana, S.A. de C.V., operates one Price Club in Mexico City.
