ESTATE management company Land Factor is celebrating after one of its

employees gained a top qualification.

Justin Coan, a land agent with the Stocksfield-based company - which operates throughout the North of England and Southern Scotland - has qualified as a fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers.

The qualification is the latest in a string of exam successes for Mr Coan, who became a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2010.

Mr Coan managed 600 acres on his family's farm in Essex before attaining a postgraduate diploma with distinction in rural environment and land management from Harper Adams University College. He then joined Land Factor in 2007.

He said: "My five years of experience of all forms of land management at Land Factor really placed me in good stead for this exam. To become a fellow is highly regarded within our industry."

Land Factor provides a wide portfolio of services, including management, administration, capital tax planning, farm sales, valuation, project management, forestry and farm consultancy advice to estates of all sizes.

Director Tom Warde-Aldam said: "We are delighted for Justin. Not only is his well-deserved achievement the result of a great deal of hard work and hard-won experience, but it strengthens the quality of the service we offer our customers."
