PREMIER ANESTHESIA SIGNS 44TH SERVICE CONTRACT AND SIGNS AGREEMENT IN PRINCIPLE TO ACQUIRE LAS VEGAS PAIN CENTER

 ATLANTA, Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Premier Anesthesia, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRAN), the nation's leading multi-state provider of contract anesthesiology services to hospitals and clinics, announced that is has signed its 11th contract this year, raising the company's total number of service contracts to 44.
 The newest contract agreement is with a hospital which is an affiliate of an integrated health care system in northern California. Services will begin Dec. 13.
 Contracts signed thus far in 1993 include hospitals of physician groups in Texas, Kentucky, Florida, New York, North Carolina, Arkansas, Alabama, Massachusetts and California.
 Additionally, the Noback Pain Center, a Las Vegas pain management facility with several managed care contracts, recently signed an agreement in principle to be acquired by Premier Anesthesia. Established in 1986, the Noback Pain Center bills approximately $2 million annually for pain services. It will now be called the National Pain Institute (NPI) of Las Vegas.

Dr. Noback, who is board certified, was formerly with the Mayo Clinic and Emory University School of Medicine. He completed his training in anesthesia in 1980 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

 NPI's multi-disciplinary team is managed by anesthesiologists who are specialists in helping patients relieve chronic pain stemming from conditions such as cancer, back injuries, failed spinal surgeries, shingles, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis and headaches.
 As of Nov. 30, Premier Anesthesia was providing medical services under a total of 44 contracts in 21 states.
