PREMARK ELECTS RINGLER TO PRESIDENT
    DEERFIELD, Ill., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Premark International, Inc. (NYSE: PMI) today announced that James M. Ringler has been elected to the newly created position of president and chief operating officer.
    Ringler, 47, joined Premark in 1989 as executive vice president and assumed the additional role of president of the company's Food Equipment Group in 1990.  In his new post, Ringler rejoins Premark Chairman Warren L. Batts in the office of the chairman and will oversee the Food Equipment, Decorative Products and Consumer Products Groups.  He also will assume responsibility for the Tupperware organization over the next few months.
    "Since taking over responsibility for the Food Equipment Group, Jim Ringler has improved the unit's profitability and strengthened its position as the leading manufacturer in the commercial food equipment industry," said Batts.  "In his new role, Jim will be able to bring these qualities of leadership to our other businesses."
    Prior to joining Premark, Ringler was president of White Consolidated Industries Major Appliance Group and president and chief operating officer of the Tappan Company.
