PRACTICAL CLOTHES FOR TODDLERS; TOP TIPS.

Byline: Dr Miriam Stoppard's health focus

Once your baby is sitting up, and especially when they become mobile, clothes have to be robust and comfortable, as well as machine washable. Look for:

Bigger sizes, especially with outdoor clothes, so movement isn't restricted and they don't grow out of them too quickly.

Clothes that have easy access to the nappy area, such as dungarees or all-in-one suits with snap fasteners.

Soft boots or socks with non-slip soles for when they start to pull themselves up to stand.

Lightweight, UV-resistant clothing to protect your baby's skin from the sun. Use a wide-brimmed sun hat and shirts with sleeves and a collar.
