PR NEWSWIRE OPENS NEW LINK TO LATIN AMERICA
NEW YORK, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- PR NEWSWIRE will translate and

transmit news releases to leading media throughout Latin America under an exclusive agreement with the international Reuters news agency, Ian Capps, PRN President, announced today.
Under the arrangement, PRN copy will be carried on the Reuters satellite network and will be received in minutes by teleprinters and editorial computer systems of national newspapers, wire services and broadcast outlets in Central and South America. PR NEWSWIRE, the world's first and largest press relations network, has been providing worldwide distribution and translation services since 1960.
"The Reuters agreement gives our members unprecedented access to Latin American media and, according to comments from editors in that region, will represent a valuable extra information source for those media," Capps said.
Alex Krys, PR NEWSWIRE's Miami-based Manager of Hispanic Services, said the new service "responds directly to the needs of many North American companies and organizations that are sharpening their focus on the emerging regional and hemispheric marketplace. The U.S.-Mexico trade agreement, in particular, heralds a new era of commercial opportunities for the Americas."
Founded in 1954, PR Newswire transmits nearly 100,000 news releases annually to thousands of news points in the U.S. and overseas. PRN also transmits into leading databases; serves the international investment community; operates the nation's largest facsimile service dedicated to media and investor relations; provides special access to entertainment news media, and offers a variety of other text and photo services.
Reuters Holdings PLC (NASDAQ: RTRSY) supplies the global business community and news media with a wide range of products including real- time financial data, transaction systems, access to numeric and textual historical databases, news and news pictures. PR NEWSWIRE copy is available worldwide in the Reuters Textline database.
