PR Minister announces prizes for patrollers on saving train from blast.

LAHORE -- Pakistan Railways Minister Khwaja Saad Rafique has announced prize of Rs 100,000 for each patroller who detected planted-bomb at railway track between Rajanpur and Mithan Kot and saved several precious lives of passengers on Friday.

According to the PR sources, the minister declared PR patrollers Mehboob, Rasool Bukhsh and Bucha as the heroes of the nation.

They will be presented guard of honour and special shields in the PR Headquarters at a ceremony to be held in next week.

It is pertinent to inform that Khushhal Khan Khatak Express train was narrow escaped from an accident on Friday when the patrollers indicated a 15-pound-bomb planted at track on which bomb disposal squad defused it.

Moreover, the minister also announced Rs 100,000 and guard of honour for a head constable of the PR Police for his honesty. The head constable returned a bag full of Rs 200,000 and ornaments worth Rs 900,000 to his owner M Yousuf who had forgotten it in Millat Express train at Faisalabad railway station.
