The PPP workers had held banners inscribed with slogans in favour of the President. He alleged that so-called leaders, in past who had left the country after a secret agreement with former dictator Gen Pervez Musharraf, now were opposing a democratic government. He recalled that it was Co-chairman, Asif Ali Zardari who had been remained in prisons for several years but never bowed to dictators. Jatak said that PPP leadership and workers always sought freedom of judiciary and even they laid down their lives for reinstatement of deposed judges. Another PPP leader, Abdul Qadir Raisani said that PPP workers were ready to face any threat to democratic setup and they would foil every conspiracy to derail democracy. Later, the demonstrators were dispersed peacefully. No untoward incident was occurred during the rally.
