 PPG TO REDEEM 10-1/8 PERCENT NOTES DUE 1995
 PITTSBURGH, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- PPG Industries (NYSE: PPG) today


called for redemption, effective Dec. 1, 1992, of all of its $75 million in outstanding 10-1/8 percent notes due 1995.
 Redemption will be at a price equal to the notes' principal amount and interest accrued to Dec. 1.
 Trustee Harris Trust and Savings Bank will notify registered holders of the procedure for presentation of the notes and redemption payment.
