POST-GAZETTE RESPONDS TO BLIZZARD '93

 PITTSBURGH, March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Saturday's record snowstorm impacted the operations of many local businesses, including those of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
 Responding to the hazardous road conditions, the Post-Gazette was forced to suspend normal printing schedules for its Sunday paper. That marked the first time the newspaper has altered its print runs because of weather conditions since 1950. The following actions were taken by the Post-Gazette in the wake of Blizzard '93.
 Sunday pre-print sections (Accent, Food and Travel, Wheels, classified, Arts and Entertainment, Sunday Magazine, Parade, comics, advertising inserts and 80 pages of coupons):
 -- Delivered to all Sunday home subscribers beginning Friday, March 12 through Monday, March 15;
 -- Available at newsstands Sunday and Monday for 50 cents;
 -- Some weekday home subscribers received Sunday pre-prints with Monday edition.
 Sunday edition (complete product):
 -- Approximately 72,000 copies of the early edition (five-star) Sunday PG were printed and distributed to a number of area stores and newsstands throughout Allegheny County.
 Monday edition (complete product):
 -- Includes expanded news and sports coverage. Sunday features such as "Forum" and end-of-week stock summary are included in Monday edition;
 -- The Post-Gazette reports no significant delivery problems within the Pittsburgh six-county metropolitan area.
