POST PEOPLE: Acorns Children's Hospice AGM.

David Strudley, CBE, chief executive of Birminghambased Acorns Children's Hospice, said the hospice faced a mammoth challenge in meeting the needs of 1,700 life-limited children who need help in the Midlands area.

Mr Strudley made the remarks in his inaugural speech at the annual general meeting of Acorns Children's Hospice at the hospice in Selly Oak.

He said the hospice, which cares for 600 families of life-limited children, faced a huge challenge to urgently increase fundraising to provide support for the area's most vulnerable families.
