 POST OFFICE TO OBSERVE THANKSGIVING
 NEW YORK, Nov. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- There will be no regular mail


delivery on Thursday, Nov. 28, in observance of Thanksgiving Day, announced John F. Kelly, general manager/postmaster of the New York Division of the U.S. Postal Service.
 Kelly noted that the holiday will not affect the delivery of Express Mail nor Special Delivery mail, however, since these two services are available 365 days a year.
 In addition, no window services will be available, except at the James A. Farley Building (Manhattan General Post Office), located at Eight Avenue and 33rd Street. A 24-hour window is open at this location every day, including weekends and holidays.
 On Friday, Nov. 29, regular mail delivery will resume and all post offices, except for the following, will be open normal business hours:
 Bryant 23 West 43rd St.
 Empire State 19 West 33rd St.
 United Nations 42nd Street and First Avenue
 Chinatown 6 Doyers St.
 Fort Washington 3771 Broadway
 Governors Island Building 140
 Patchin 70 West 10th St.
 Pitt 185 Clinton St.
 Tudor City 5 Tudor Place
 West Village 527 Hudson St.
 Kelly advises that although most post office lobbies will be closed, the public can purchase postage stamps, at face value, at more than 200 retail outlets throughout the metropolitan area. These outlets include Red Apple, Gristedes, A&P, Pioneer and Met supermarkets, as well as many greeting card stores.
