POST OFFICE EASES HOLIDAY RUSH BY OFFERING SUNDAY HOURS

POST OFFICE EASES HOLIDAY RUSH BY OFFERING SUNDAY HOURS
NEW YORK, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- In a move designed to ease the

last-minute rush associated with holiday shopping, the New York Post Office will be offering Sunday hours at 33 Manhattan and Bronx locations on Dec. 15. Included in this number are 12 post office stations which will feature a full range of services, and 21 mobile post office units which will sell stamps and accept Express Mail and Priority Mail.
Since the post offices featuring Sunday hours are located in a variety of Manhattan neighborhoods, customers will find them to be convenient whether they are spending the day shopping or running errands near home. Additionally, the mobile post office units in both Manhattan and the Bronx will be situated near high-traffic shopping areas so as to be accessible to a large number of customers.
Operating hours for the post offices will be 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., while the mobile units will be stationed at their locations between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
The availability of Sunday hours is the latest in a series of customer conveniences offered by the Postal Service during the holidays and throughout the year. "Stamps by Consignment" offers customers the opportunity to purchase postage stamps at face value at approximately 200 outlets in the metropolitan area including most major supermarket chains and stationery stores.
Customers looking for even more convenience can shop for stamps from the comfort of their homes by phoning 1-800-STAMP24 and using their credit cards to make purchases. Additionally, "Stamps by Mail" allows customers to use a prepaid envelope, available at all post offices, to buy stamps through the mail.
