 PORT AUTHORITY OFFICERS TO BE SWORN IN
 The first new Port Authority police officers in four years will be


sworn in during a ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m., in the Imperial Ballroom of the Sheraton Center Hotel, 53rd Street and Seventh Avenue in Manhattan.
 In addition to the 41 new officers, 52 members of the Port Authority Public Safety Department who were promoted in the past year -- from sergeants to a Deputy Director -- will be honored.
