 PORT AUTHORITY BREAKS GROUND FOR NEW PLANT AT JFK AIRPORT
 New York Lt. Gov. Stan Lundine, Port Authority Executive Director Stanley Brezenoff and local officials will join with officials of KIAC Partners to break ground Thursday, May 7, at 11 a.m., for a major new power plant at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
 Fueled by natural gas and capable of supplying the airport's electricity requirements well into the next century, the new plant is a key component of the JFK Redevelopment Program, under which the airport's roadways, terminals and utilities are being modernized and expanded.
 The integrated energy system, which comprises a cogeneration plant that will generate both electric power and thermal energy, will have he capacity to provide 90 megawatts of electric power, 22,500 tons of chilled water and 225 million BTUs per hour of hot water.
 KIAC Partners is a joint venture of subsidiaries of the Brooklyn Union Gas Company and Public Service Electric & Gas of New Jersey.
 Guests will gather at the airport's Building 14 between 9:40 a.m. and 11 a.m. and be bused to the site of the groundbreaking. Television news vehicles can go directly to the site, which is opposite the British Airways terminal. Signs will be posted.
 Directions to Building 14: Take Van Wyck Expressway onto airport, exit at Federal Circle and follow the signs.
