POOLER NAMED VICE PRESIDENT OF AMAX GOLD
POOLER NAMED VICE PRESIDENT OF AMAX GOLD GOLDEN, Colo., Feb. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- AMAX GOLD INC.
(NYSE: AU; Toronto: AXG) -- Timothy J. Haddon, president and chief executive officer, has announced the election of Andrew F. Pooler to the position of vice president of Amax Gold by the Amax Gold board of directors. In this position, Pooler will assume responsibility for all of Amax Gold's operating properties.
Most recently, Pooler was general manager of the Wind Mountain Mine. He joined the company in November 1985 holding various positions within operations, including Mine Superintendent at the Sleeper Mine. Prior to employment with Amax Gold, Pooler was employed by Amselco Minerals at the Alligator Ridge Mine in Ely, Nevada. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Idaho. He is a member of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers. Amax Gold produces and explores for gold in North and South America and New Zealand, is listed on the New York and Toronto stock exchanges.
