PONTIAC SETS SALES RECORDS

 PONTIAC, Mich., Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Pontiac's Grand Prix, Bonneville and Trans Sport each set a sales record for the Nov. 1-10 period and helped boost Pontiac's overall sales by 36.5 percent for the first 10 days of November compared to the same period last year.
 Strong increases were seen in several vehicle lines. Firebird sales increased by 208.9 percent; Grand Am by 61.1 percent; Grand Prix by 45.1 percent; Trans Sport by 22.6 percent; and Sunbird by 17.4 percent.
 Overall, Pontiac sold 15,930 vehicles compared to 10,373 during the same period last year. There were nine selling days in the period this year versus eight a year ago.
