POLLOCK AND LOWE NAMED TO NEW POSITIONS WITHIN HALLIBURTON ENERGY SERVICES
 GROUP
 DALLAS, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL) announced today that its Halliburton Energy Services Group has named Robert W. Pollock and James D. Lowe to the positions of regional vice president/director--Europe/Africa and regional vice president/director-- Asia/Pacific, respectively.
 The two positions were established by Halliburton Energy Services to manage and maximize the synergy between the Halliburton Energy Services units, help build strategic alliance business relationships with customers, improve the Halliburton Energy Services' ability to function as a single integrated business organization, and manage the Halliburton Energy Services support service functions in the respective regions.
 Pollock, 55, was previously serving as general manager-- Europe/Africa for Halliburton M&S Ltd. In his new position he will be the senior Halliburton Energy Services representative for Europe/Africa, based in London.
 Pollock began his career with Halliburton in 1959 as a field engineer in Estevan, Alberta, Canada. Over the years Pollock has held various positions within Halliburton including district manager, regional operations manager, general manager and division manager. In 1982 he was named president of Halliburton Services Ltd. (Canada). He transferred to Aberdeen in 1990 as North Sea division manager. Pollock holds a BS degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Alberta.
 Lowe, 45, assumes the corresponding senior Halliburton Energy Services position of regional vice president/director--Asia/Pacific, and will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Prior to this appointment, Lowe was Halliburton Energy Services manager in Houston.
 In 1976 Lowe began working for Vann Tool Company in Artesia, New Mexico. Following the acquisition of Vann by Halliburton Company, Lowe served in numerous operations, sales and management positions for the subsidiary. Eventually he was named president of Vann Systems in 1988. Lowe is a graduate of the New Mexico Military Institute and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
