POLICE POLL.

TODAY, for the second day running, the Daily Post invites readers to have a direct say in the way they want to be policed.

At the request of North Wales Police we are running a phone poll to find out if residents are willing to pay more to get more bobbies back on the beat.

Residents in North Wales pay for police services out of their rates, and Chief Constable Richard Brunstrom has pledged to use any extra revenue to do just that.

For an extra 10p a-week (pounds 5 per year) North Wales would get an extra 36 beat officers.

For 20p per week, we would get 72 extra beat officers.

Now is your chance to influence how much you pay for your police service and what sort of service you will get.

Your views could have a direct effect on how many officers will be pounding the streets next year.

The results will be announced on Thursday - just a day before the Police Authority meets to decide the matter.

Call 0901 5638378 for YES (10p or 20p extra per week) Call 0901 5638379 for NO Your call will cost no more than 10p. Phone lines close end of Wednesday. You can also vote on our website: www. icnorthwales. co. uk
