POLICE 'WINNING THE WAR ON YOBS' We will lock up regular offenders - top cop.

COMPLAINTS about yobbish behaviour have fallen by 26% in the past year, police have revealed.

Cardiff's top police officer said the force was winning residents' trust by locking up persistent offenders instead of giving them Asbos.

Chief Supintendent Bob Tooby said: "Persistent offenders should take it from me: they may not be given an Asbo but will be brought before a criminal court. We will lock them up.

"If they have Asbos, which I know are shown off as medals sometimes, they can show them off in prison."
