POLAROID & WESTINGHOUSE SECURITY ELECTRONICS ANNOUNCE JOINTLY DEVELOPED ELECTRONIC IMAGING SECURITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

 /ADVANCE/ CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Aug. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Polaroid Corporation (NYSE: PRD) and Westinghouse Security Electronics (WSE) are introducing tomorrow a jointly developed integrated imaging security management system that combines Polaroid advanced electronic identification imaging technology with state-of-the-art access control/security management capability from WSE. The system is being unveiled at the American Society of Industrial Security's 39th Annual Seminar & Exhibition in Washington D.C.
 The new WSE ID-3000/SE-6000 Integrated Security Management and Video Image System is designed to meet the precise needs and high security demands of large corporations, health care and educational institutions, airports, utilities and government facilities worldwide. It was developed according to customer specifications in response to growing security threats to people, property and information.
 The WSE ID-3000/SE-6000 gives security-conscious customers the combined benefits of electronic imaging, access control and networking in one powerful integrated system. Integration allows all components of the system, from imaging workstations to verification sites, to share a single data base. Information can be updated and accessed immediately, thus providing greater security control and minimizing potential breeches.
