POEMS OF THE DAY.

When Trouble Comes a'Calling WHEN trouble comes a calling and your life is in despair That's when you find out who your friends are The ones who really care They offer a shoulder to cry on While your poor heart it aches They are there for you to rely on However long it takes No artificial 'gushing' No insincere sympathy Just love and understanding The way true friends should be.

AW, Gosforth, Newcastle Night Wings THE tortoiseshell in the room Fluttering around the light As though it's an electric moon Flashes of orange On fragile wings Around in circles the butterfly goes Before settling on the blue wall Taking off again towards the window Out into the shadows of night The tortoiseshell flutters away Leaving behind a feeling of awe.
