POEMS OF THE DAY.

The Cuckoo IN April I arrange my stay In May I sing out loud all day In June I change my tune In July away I fly In August away I must Before the leaves in autumn gust.

SID WESTON, Gosforth Happy Road of Peace I HAVE a dream, most every night, where I can clearly see A world where hunger disappears, peace reigns in harmony Where every mother's son marches home when war is won Singing with one voice, loud and clear.

Then my dream shows me the warning sign that points to misery Where all the young men strong and bold, are fighting to be free Help them overcome their fears, wipe away their falling tears Welcome them back to the loving fold.

Save them, all the lonely children of the world Guide them, to find their rainbow's end and pot of gold Remind all of the nations this world is only ours to lease So let us pray that fate hasn't left it too late For us all to walk together... along the happy road of peace.
