POEM OF THE DAY; Temptation.

FROM time to time everyone feels they need To be a little naughty on the side, How do you keep clean in thought, word and deed? In this life you could fall at every stride, Maybe your cat or hamster has just died, And you're inclined to drown your tears in drink, But hold your horses before you decide: You may end up arrested, in the clink, Or at least retching in the kitchen sink.

Myself, I practise yoga every day, I've not been drunk since 1981, If I slip now, it's all gone in a blink, I would be throwing three decades away, Dear God, how can I keep from going wrong!? I know: to calm the tempest in my head, I'll stay at home and write a poem instead.
