PNC Bank to support Apple Pay.

M2 EQUITYBITES-November 3, 2014--PNC Bank to support Apple Pay

4 November 2014 -- Pittsburgh US-based PNC Bank (NYSE: PNC) said it has started offering its customers access to the Apple Pay (NASDAQ: AAPL) movile payments service.

By adding a credit or debit card to Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device or Apple servers.

Instead, a unique device account number is assigned, encrypted and stored on the customer's device.

Each transaction is authorised with a one-time unique dynamic security code, instead of using the security code from the back of the card.

Apple Pay works with iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Paying for goods and services within apps with Apple Pay is compatible with iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3.

PNC Bank, National Association, is a member of The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc.
