PNC'S CITIZENS FIDELITY BANK NAMES NEW CEO

 PITTSBURGH, Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- PNC Financial Corp (NYSE: PNC) today announced a senior management change at its Louisville affiliate, Citizens Fidelity Corporation.
 Michael N. Harreld, president of Citizens Fidelity Bank and Trust Company and its holding company, Citizens Fidelity Corporation, will also assume the duties of chief executive officer, effective immediately.
 Daniel C. Ulmer Jr., chairman and former chief executive officer of the corporation and the bank, will retain his post as chairman in anticipation of his retirement at the end of 1993. Ulmer will serve in an advisory capacity over the next year, concentrating primarily on business development activities and community relations.
 "The depth of experience in the Kentucky/Indiana management team accounts for much of the success we've experienced there," said Thomas H. O'Brien, chairman and chief executive officer of PNC Financial Corp. "Mike Harreld and Dan Ulmer have played key roles in helping to build that institution and this management change assures us of stable growth and continued success."
 O'Brien also noted that both Ulmer and Harreld also are members of PNC's management committee.
 Harreld, 48, is a Louisville native who joined Citizens Fidelity in 1969 as a trust officer. During the past 24 years, he has served in a variety of posts and has been president since 1988.
 Harreld is active in civic affairs, particularly in education. He currently serves on the boards of trustees of the University of Louisville and Bellarmine College. He also has served as a member of the boards of Western Kentucky University and Murray State University. Harreld is past president of the Kentucky Bankers Association.
 Ulmer, 60, also is a Louisville native. He joined Citizens Fidelity in 1957 and has served as either president or chairman since 1976.
 Active in civic affairs, Ulmer is chairman of the Kentucky State Fair Board and serves on the board of trustees of the University of Kentucky. He is former chairman of the board of trustees of the University of Louisville.
