PM reshuffles eight federal secretaries.

ISLAMABAD -- Getting proximity with buddy, Prime Minster Raja Pervez Ashraf has appointed Muhammad Ayub Qazi as his personal secretary after reshuffling high-level government officials.

PM Raja Pervez Ashraf after consulting with President Asif Ali Zardari made major changes in bureaucracy and reshuffled at least eight federal secretaries including replacing Khusnood Lashari with Muhammad Ayub Qazi as his new personal secretary.

Sources said that newly appointed personal secretary, Ayub Qazi is considered close buddy of the PM Raja Pervez Ashraf and he is also senior officer of DMG group.

According to PM house's spokes person, Senior officer Information Group Chaudhry Rasheed Ahmed replaced Azmat Usman as new Federal secretary information while Azmat Usman was posted as Secretary Establishment.

Secretary Narcotics, Javed Iqbal was posted as a secretary Economic Affairs while federal finance secretary, Dr Waqar Masood was appointed as Secretary Petroleum and Minerals.

Additional Secretary Trade, Kamran Qureshi was made new secretary of Kashmir and Baltistan Ministry while senior officer of FBR Israr Rauf replaced Imtiaz Inayat Elahi as Secretary CAAD and Imtiaz Inayat Elahi was posted as a new federal Secretary for national regulation and services.

Meanwhile a notification of new appointments has been issued.
