PM chairs meeting to discuss the economic situation.
[31/January/2019] SANAA, Jan. 31 (Saba) - A government meeting held on Thursday in Sanaa under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor discussed a number of issues related to the current economic situation and its impact on the monetary and living aspects of citizens. The meeting, which included Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Affairs Maj. Gen. Jalal al-Ruwaishan, Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs Mahmoud al-Junaid, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Dr. Hussein Mabdouli and Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Dr. Ahmed al-Dhafri discussed measures to enhance economic performance and develop resources, as well as the alternatives available to finance the operational budget for the current year, thereby enabling public finance to meet urgent obligations. The meeting, attended in presence of the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdulaziz al-Kumeem, Ministers of Justice Ahmed Akbat and Local Administration Ali Al-Qaisi, as well as minister of State for the Affairs of the House of Representatives and Shura Council Dr. Ali Abu Hleika, the vision of the Ministry of Finance to mobilize resources from various sources of income and how to work on confronting the budget deficit according to available options. He also discussed the financial statement of the government to be submitted to the House of Representatives over the Spending budget as well as the executive aspect of the national vision to further develop the structure of the Yemeni state The meeting approved a number of measures related to the encirclement of the expenditure budget deficit, which are to be submitted to the President of the Supreme Political Council for consideration and guidance as he sees fit in this regard.
