PM Gruevski heralds three new investments in Bitola.
New direct investments were announced by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski at the party rally in Bitola on Saturday. He informed that a US company listed on the New York Stock Exchange decided to invest in Macedonia and create 2,000 jobs.
The Turkish company Celmak Agricultural Machinery bought a building land lot in the Zabeni industrial zone to build a factory for farming machinery. Gruevski also informed that another company was intent upon building a factory putting out potato crisps in the area of Kravari, and that talks concerning a few other investments were in progress.
Kromberg & Schubert has already invested in Bitola in a factory manufacturing products for Audi, BMW, and Volkswagen, and creating jobs for 2,500 people. Cosmic Development from Canada is employing IT professionals in its Bitola-based offices. Thirty-eight land lots in the Zabeni industrial zone have been sold, while ten companies have already been issued building permits.
Several major infrastructure and energy projects are also underway in the region. The Government has provided the required funding for the railway from Bitola to Kremenica of 20 million euros and construction works are expected to begin this spring.
