PLM PROMOTES HORNER TO SENIOR V.P. INTERNATIONAL DIVISION

 SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- San Francisco-based PLM International Inc. (AMEX: PLM) today announced the promotion of John D. Horner to senior vice president, International Division.
 In his new position Horner will be responsible for developing the strategic international marketing goals for the various equipment markets at PLM International. Horner will also be involved in seeking new asset transactions and joint venture opportunities for the company. Reporting to Horner will be Laurence W. Berger, senior vice president, International Capital Markets, and Gary A. Gerttula, vice president, International Marketing in the London office. Homer will continue reporting to President and Chief Executive Officer Robert N. Tidball.
 Horner, 43, joined PLM International in 1988 as Director of Marine Vessels for PLM Transportation Equipment Corp. He has held various executive positions in the company most recently as vice president of International Marketing, Asia/Pacific. Prior to joining PLM International, Horner was managing director of Indonesian shipping operations at American President Lines. He received his MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif., and his B.S. from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y. A lieutenant commander in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, Horner lives with his family in Lafayette, Calif.
 PLM International is a transportation equipment leasing company specializing in the management of equipment on operating leases. The company is also the leading sponsor of syndicated investment programs organized to invest primarily in transportation equipment.
