Pleasant Hill High School graduation will be June 10.

Five students will speak at graduation: Danica Bates, Ben Irvine, Alex Holmes, Kelly Hopper and Amanda LeBlanc.

Bates, the daughter of Rodger and Connie Bates of Pleasant Hill, plans to attend Lane Community College before transferring to a university. She participated in volleyball, basketball, cross country and track and field, is a Sky-Em League scholar athlete, received the Scholastic Achievement Award and is a member of the National Honor Society. She has participated in team penning and barrel racing.

Irvine, the son of Ronald and Pamela Irvine of Cottage Grove, will attend either Linfield College or the Honors College at the University of Oregon where he will major in business and finance or pre-law. He received the President's Education Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence, the Scholastic Achievement Award and the Sky-Em All-League Scholar Athlete Award. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Solar Jazz, Pleasant Hill Jazz Combo, Oregon Festival of American Music, and Honors Jazz Ensemble. He was a Mr. Billie contestant for the Children's Miracle Network fund-raiser. He participated in varsity golf, being named to the first and second all-league golf teams, has been golf team captain for four years and participated in varsity soccer, waterpolo and swimming.

Holmes, the son of Rick and Terry Holmes of Pleasant Hill, plans to attend Southern Oregon University to study acting, dance, singing and education. He has been an accomplished singer, dancer and actor with the local Spotlight Theater for more than 10 years. He has performed with a production company in London and been a dance instructor.

Hopper, son of Warren Hopper and Lezlie Pearce-Hopper of Creswell, plans to attend the University of Rochester in New York to study biophysics or astrophysics. He is a National Merit Scholarship finalist and received scholarships from Baush & Lomb and Weyerhaeuser. He is a member of the National Honor Society, REACH, the recycling club, is co-editor and chief of the Billie Bulletin and was a Mr. Billie contestant for the Children's Miracle Network fund-raiser. He has played varsity basketball and baseball. He went to the Destination Imagination Global Finals for 2005 and is a cellist in the Arts Umbrella Youth Symphony.

LeBlanc, daughter of Larry LeBlanc of Park City, Ill., and Robin Lamont of Eugene, plans to attend a four-year university in Oregon. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the Pleasant Hill Community Theater and has received multiple academic achievement awards. She was a member of the Oregon Country Fair Teen Crew and is a writer, singer, artist, equestrian and skier.
