PLANE CRASH IN RUSSIA -Turkey's president shares agonies of Russian people.
September 09 2011 (TUR) -- Turkey's president shared on Friday
agonies of Russian people due to a plane crash that killed 43 people.
President Abdullah Gul said the hall where he made a speech during the
Global Policy Forum in Yaroslavl was a hall where the ice hockey team
that lost their lives in the crash were exercising. "I would once
more like to share agonies of the Russian people," Gul posted on
Twitter. Gul said he laid flowers on the hall's side wall together
with Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev after he delivered his speech at
the meeting. "Many sportsmen died in this sorrowful crash, and I
landed at the same airport the following day," Gul said. Gul also
said his plane landed at the airport without the help of devices since
the devices were broken down. A plane carrying Locomotiv Yaroslavl
hockey team crashed near Yaroslavl, Russia shortly after it took off
from airport. Forty-three people died in the plane crash.
