PLAINS RESOURCES DECLARES DIVIDEND ON $1.30 CUMULATIVE CONVERTIBLE PREFERRED STOCK

 HOUSTON, Aug. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Plains Resources (AMEX: PLX) today announced a cash dividend of $0.325 per share on its outstanding $1.30 cumulative convertible preferred stock for the period June 1, 1993- Aug. 31, 1993. The dividend will be payable on Aug. 31, 1993, to shareholders of record Aug. 15, 1993.
 Plains Resources is an independent energy company engaged in the exploration, acquisition, development and exploitation of crude oil and natural gas and the downstream activities of marketing, transportation and storage of crude oil and natural gas products. The company is headquartered in Houston.
