PLAINS RESOURCES CUTS FEBRUARY GAS PRODUCTION
PLAINS RESOURCES CUTS FEBRUARY GAS PRODUCTION HOUSTON, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Plains Resources (AMEX: PLX) said
today that it would cease all sales of natural gas into the spot market during the month of February, except sales of natural gas produced in association with the company's liquids production. The company said that the action would not affect natural gas sold under its long-term contracts.
Nancy J. Kerby, a company spokesperson, said that Plains considers sales of natural gas at present prices a waste of company assets. Plains Resources is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company headquartered in Houston. During 1991, it was ranked by The Oil and Gas Journal as 113th among the largest publicly traded oil and gas companies in the United States. -0- 1/24/92 /CONTACT: Nancy J.
