PLACEBO Battle For The Sun (Dream.

PLACEBO Battle For The Sun ( Dream Brother) ONE of the last 90s bands still making an impact, Placebo return with their sixth album. Not as raw and exciting as their self-titled debut or Without You I'm Nothing, they still know how to write a tune. The title track is a powerful mesh of styles and instruments, while The Never-Ending Why is classic Placebo. A shame, then, that preceding track Speak In Tongues is boring. They're experimenting with different styles from the dance-happy Julien to the melancholy Happy You're Gone. These don't always work, but are a nice addition to their regular sound. JD
