PITTSBURGH NEWSPAPER UNIONS: TOYS 'R' US BOYCOTT
PITTSBURGH, June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pittsburgh Newspaper Unions

Unity Council announced today it will begin a consumer boycott of Toys 'R' Us that will continue as long as their advertising appears in the Pittsburgh Press/Allegheny Bulletin.
"Striking workers will leaflet all five Pittsburgh-area Toys 'R' Us stores beginning Thursday, June 4," according to George Curtin, Unity Council coordinator.
"Youth carriers and their parents are particularly offended by Toys 'R' Us advertising in a paper that recently fired 400 young people and would like to fire all 4,500 kids," said Deborah Reed, a Frontlash organizer working with the Press youth carriers.
Carriers and their parents will join striking workers on Saturday, June 6, in a noon protest rally at the Toys 'R' Us store in Ross Park Mall, 203 Cheryl Drive, North Hills, Ross Township, Pa.
 The public is welcome.
