 PITTSBURGH NATIONAL BANK BUSINESS CUSTOMERS
CAN NOW GET ACCOUNT INFORMATION VIA FAX
PITTSBURGH, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Business customers of Pittsburgh National Bank, a PNC (NYSE: PNC) bank, can now receive reports on their bank balances and transactions by fax on a daily automated basis.
Called PINACLE(R) FAX, the facsimile reporting service is the first in the region. However, it can also be used by PNC customers located anywhere in the nation.
"PINACLE FAX can give timely account information to smaller and mid-size companies that have a fax machine, but might not have the micro computers and terminals to access a network," said Robert D. Edwards, senior vice president and manager, PNC Corporate Services - Pittsburgh National Bank. "In large corporations, a subsidiary may need the information daily but not have the computer equipment to receive it."
Through PINACLE FAX, companies can receive a report on the previous day's bank information, such as balance reports, lockbox deposits, electronic data interchange (EDI) detail notification and Automated Clearinghouse (ACH) return notification. The faxed report arrives daily, at a time specified by the customer. Customers can also request a consolidated report showing their account balances at all of their banks, whether located around the corner or around the world.
"Companies are increasingly turning to electronic reporting systems for bank information to improve productivity in the treasury, payables and receivables areas," said Edwards. "With PINACLE FAX, smaller and mid-size companies that are not ready for computer-based systems can still have access to timely account information necessary for making sound business decisions.
"The ability to offer this service to our customers represents one of the clear advantages to being a part of the PNC network of banks," Edwards said.
